Colonel Richard "Dick" Black (USA Ret.) is a Virginia State Senator and former member of Virginia House of Delegates, Senator Black had a successful law career before entering politics. His military awards include the Purple Heart, three Legions of Merit, thirteen Air Medals, two Presidential Unit Citations, the Army General Staff Badge, and Naval Aviators' Wings of Gold. He is a frequent media guest who appeared over 30 times on CNN and other national networks discussing foreign and military affairs. He holds a J.D. law degree from University of Florida.
