“War is deceit.” —Muhammad, the prophet of Islam1

Muslim employees at Minneapolis City Hall recently declared February 28, 2014, as “Hijab Day” in the workplace and methodically convinced nearly every non-Muslim co-worker to don Muslim headgear.2 Even the city’s police chief, Janeé Harteau, wore the garb.

Why? Do we have a Chicago Carry Your Crucifix Day, Saint Louis Shinto Hug a Tree Day, or for that matter, Boston Kill the Buddha Day?3

As an Atheist, I have often been puzzled and indeed amused by the dogmatic evangelism of some religions. After all, America is based upon the premise of individual freedom, where freedom from religion is as important as freedom of religion. Separation of church and state is a cornerstone in the foundation of our nation. Yet there are those who would turn America into a theocracy, if they only could.

While appearing on the surface to be a quaint display of cross-cultural tolerance, the implication of “Hijab Day” goes much deeper, representing a systematic undermining of America’s principles. In her well-researched book Stop the Islamization of America: A Practical Guide to the Resistance, Pamela Geller demonstrates that Islam is much more than a religion — it is a political agenda with the ultimate goal of supplanting American and Western Society.

The awakening

The terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001, spurred the awakening of most Americans to the radical Islamic agenda of conquest. Americans watched in horror as two of the three World Trade Center buildings that fell were destroyed purportedly by planes flown by Islamicists.

Geller remarks that:

9/11 shook me to my core. Up until that moment, I had assumed my freedom — taken it for granted. I had a post-historical perspective — the good guys won the big one and the good cop was on the beat. It was 9/11 that jolted me into reality. Science and technology and modernity progress, but human nature never changes. The battle between good and evil is eternal.

That was just the beginning. In December 2009, the New York Times proudly heralded a 15-story mega-mosque that was to be built at Ground Zero. Geller notes:

The location was no accident because the imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, the cleric leading the project, said, “New York is the capital of the world, and this location close to 9/11 is iconic.”

The Ground Zero mosque is a rabat, a structure that is rapidly proliferating across the United States. Geller writes that:

These are very deliberate structures that are designed to expedite the advance of Islam into unsuspecting communities…

A rabat, in Islamic theology and history, is a fortified place, a kind of beachhead for the invasion and conquest of a non-Muslim land by the warriors of Islam. Going back to the time of Muhammad, Muslims have conducted raids on infidel lands, designed to “strike terror in the hearts of the enemies of Allah” (Koran 8:60). After the raids, the Muslims would build rabats in the newly conquered land, consisting of a mosque and a military training component. The most obvious modern-day rabat is the proposed Ground Zero Mosque.

The Mosque was opened to the public on September 22, 2011.4

Victims of Islamic violence

Women are inherent victims of Islam as Geller explains:

Another front in the cultural jihad opened in Spring 2010, when the American Academy of Pediatrics announced that it would be recommending that American doctors offer clitorectomies to Muslim women — in what can only be construed as a complete loss of any semblance of goodness and morality in the name of multiculturalist poison.

Due to subsequent public outrage, the Academy withdrew their un-fathomable recommendation, perhaps while duly reconsidering the postulate “first, do no harm.” Geller notes that in 2008, the New York Times tacitly approved female genital mutilation. She reports that Islamic culture allows women to be beaten and that honor killings have occurred even within the United States. She describes how Amina and Sarah Said were brutally murdered by their father for adopting American culture.

Geller asks the reader: why are American women not rising up against such barbarism?

Demurring to Islam

Islam is slowly but surely forcing its way into the American workplace. Geller recounts numerous challenges by Muslims demanding to wear Muslim garb in the workplace. One dramatic instance occurred at Disneyland where a woman who had worked there for years suddenly insisted on wearing a hijab to work, thus challenging Disney’s fifty-year-old dress code. The objective of such a visible case, Geller points out, was to show that Islam could make “the richest, most powerful of corporations bend to its will.” The book reports other instances:

• In March 2011, a Muslim defendant sued Orange County, California, for being forced to remove her hijab while in jail.

• In November 2009, CareNow, a medical clinic in a Dallas suburb, apologized to a Muslim doctor and changed its no-headgear policy after initially telling her during a job interview that she couldn’t wear her hijab.

• In March 2007, Target stores in Minneapolis shifted Muslim cashiers who refused to check out pork products to other jobs in the stores.

• The J.B. Swift meat packing plant in Greeley, Colorado, in September 2008, fired Muslim workers who turned violent and walked off their jobs when denied special break periods to end the Ramadan fast at the appointed time. The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, however, sided with the Muslim workers and forced Swift to reinstate them. Ultimately, Swift added footbaths and bidets to its plant for the Muslim workers.

• In November 2008, a federal judge ordered Gold’n Plump, Inc., a chicken processing plant, to pay $365,000 to Somali Muslim workers for firing them for walking off the job to pray, and for making new hires sign a form acknowledging that they may have to handle pork on the job.

• In February 2010, a group of Muslims in Colorado sued Wal-Mart, claiming that they were fired in order to provide jobs for local non-Muslims, and that they had been denied prayer breaks while on the job.

President Obama has gone on record in support of Islam. Geller writes:

When he gave his notorious address to the worldwide Islamic umma from Cairo on June 4, 2009, Obama made sure they knew which side he was on in the cultural jihad: “The U.S. government,” he bragged, “has gone to court to protect the right of women and girls to wear the hijab, and to punish those who would deny it… I reject the view of some in the West that a woman who chooses to cover her hair is somehow less equal.”

He didn’t say anything about the women who have been harassed, threatened with death, and killed for not wearing the hijab in Muslim countries, and even in the West.

Five days after his Cairo statement, Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder followed through:

The Essex County Department of Corrections (DOC) had first suspended and then fired Beshier [an employee] for violating its dress code by wearing a Muslim headscarf. The DOC was just sticking to its dress code. But Obama and Holder were determined to advance Islam. And they won. Obama’s headscarf jihad took the New Jersey county to court, and the county caved. In November 2010, the county reached a “settlement” with Beshier, agreeing to pay her $25,000 and to adopt a “religious accommodation policy.” It was an historic event: the United States Justice Department had won a lawsuit meant to enforce Islamic law.

Non-secular schools

Geller points out that Islamic supremacist groups have consulted with public school textbook publishers to ensure that their material presents Islam in a manner that is heavily slanted, even to the point of proselytizing. When combined with the publishers’ inherent anti-Western multiculturalist bias, the end result has been a large number of public school textbooks that portray Islam in a glowing light, while simultaneously denigrating Judeo-Christian Western civilization. Indeed, the Texas State Board of Education has formally passed a resolution detailing this “pro-Islamic/anti-Christian” bias.

Geller reports that:

In May 2010, the Islamic Web site Sound Vision published a six-step plan by the founding director of the Council on Islamic Education, Shabbir Mansuri, on how to pressure public school authorities into allowing special accommodation for Muslims. These included “knowing what laws and regulations govern the issue of religious accommodation” — Islamic groups make skillful use of government directives requiring reasonable accommodation of religious practices. Mansuri also directed Muslims to make friends with a teacher and enlist him or her as an ally, even inviting the teacher over for dinner; to “leave a paper trail, but first, be really nice” (at first!); and to repeat these steps as necessary with the school principal and even the district superintendent. The Muslim complainant is never to give up until the concessions are granted.

Mainstreaming animal torture

Halal is the barbaric slaughtering of animals by cutting the throat without any pain-mitigating procedures whatsoever. Not even a tap on the head. Geller reports that:

The Sharia term for halal slaughter is dhakat. Dhakat is to slaughter an animal by cutting the trachea, the esophagus, and the jugular vein, letting the blood drain out while saying “Bismillah allahu akbar”— in the name of Allah the greatest.

Much of the meat in Europe is processed as halal but is not labeled as such. 70 percent of New Zealand lamb imported into the United Kingdom is halal. When halal food was imposed on UK public schools in 2007, resounding public uproar ensued.

Neither Europeans nor Americans know with certainty whether their meat is the end product of animal torture because neither country requires halal labeling. Geller discovered “that only two plants in the United States that perform halal slaughter keep the halal meat separated from the non-halal meat, and they only do so because plant managers thought it was right to do so.”

When Campbell’s Soup introduced a halal line, they affiliated with the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) for halal certification. Geller points out that ISNA is a Muslim Brotherhood group with known ties to terror. She notes that “This is part of the cultural jihad: the mainstreaming of jihadist organizations.” While a subsequent boycott of Campbell’s drove down stock by eight percent, PETA and animal rights organizations were nowhere to be seen.

Threats to freedom

Geller’s book contains an informative “Threats to Freedom” index that lists groups that have beliefs or practices which attack or malign American Constitutional freedoms and/or lawful initiatives for American self-defense. The list includes the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), Muslim Students Association, Organization of the Islamic Conference, George Soros, Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), and many others.

Detailed reasons are given for the inclusion of various organizations. For example, the book notes that the Organization of the Islamic Conference is an:

International organization dedicated to destroying free speech about Islam and jihad in America and Europe. The great historian Bat Ye’or explains…

The OIC is also committed, she observes, to “the universal propagation of Islam (da’wa).” Essential to this propagation is an all-out campaign to restrict the West’s freedom of speech regarding Islam, jihad, and Islamic supremacism, and to brand all honest discussion of such matters as “Islamophobia.”

Outlawing Sharia

Sharia is a specific, mandatory political and legal framework for Islamic society. As a legal code ordained by Allah, it is not optional. Sharia orders Islamic society at every level, prescribing execution of apostates, stoning of adulterers, repression of other religions, and hostility toward non-Islamic nations.5 Sharia is thus the antithesis of a free and open Western society.

Quite a few states have initiated legislation against Islamic Law (Sharia). Oklahoma was the first, where in 2010, 70 percent of the voters approved a ban on Islamic law — a ban our Founding Fathers surely would have supported. Subversive Muslim Brotherhood groups such as CAIR ultimately succeeded in having Judge Miles-LaGrange issue a permanent injunction against the law. Her written decision unfortunately revealed that she had been misled by CAIR on the true nature of Sharia — she had been told that it embodied personal faith-based obligations and was not law per se. Not to be defeated, Oklahoma in 2011 drafted a new, more effective law which did not explicitly mention Sharia.

Geller believes that the Oklahoma suit, while representing a temporary victory for CAIR, is ultimately a defeat for the attempt to displace American Law in American courts. She notes that “Islamic supremacists are showing their hand and revealing their agenda, and Americans know it.” Indeed, within four months of the Oklahoma injunction, fourteen other states were considering bans on Sharia.

Yet institutionalized encroachment of Sharia continues. In 2011, Geller discovered that the American Bar Association (ABA) was undertaking an anti-American fight for Sharia law. The ABA had formed a Task Force to review the anti-Sharia legislation that had been introduced in 14 states — Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Georgia, Indiana, Louisiana, Mississippi, Nebraska, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah and Wyoming. Strange, indeed.

Choosing our future

Geller says that the best advice she ever received was to “first, learn everything.” She gives her own well-founded advice as to what everyday citizens can do to counter the creeping Islamization of America:

Read Bat Ye’or and Ibn Warraq, the world’s leading scholar on Islam (and former Muslim). Read Mark Durie and Robert Spencer, Sir Martin Gilbert and Wafa Sultan.

Take no one’s word for it. Do your homework.

The idea of a “moderate” Islam does not exist, not because I say so, but because the Koran says so and Muhammad said so. The Koran is the word of Allah, given directly to Muhammad, uncreated (unlike the Old or New Testament). Who can “reinterpret” or “reform” the word of Allah? No one. And to attempt such “hypocrisy” is punishable by death.

Moderate Muslims are secular. There is nothing moderate in Islam, and this is the deception that must be unveiled.

Geller remarks that:

The Muslim Brotherhood project in America has been in play for six decades. The jihad against the non-Muslim world is 1,400 years old… Our freedom, our constitutional republic, and our civilization are at stake. You cannot depend upon anyone else to do this. No one is going to save you. It must be you… There is an enormous amount of work to be done.

Stop the Islamization of America is more relevant today than ever. It is a factual, interesting, and motivating read.

‘The hijab is a political statement, not a religious mandate. Mark Steyn says in his book America Alone that “there is no evidence that any Muslim woman anywhere ever wore the jilbab before the disco era, when it was taken up by the Muslim Brotherhood and others in the Arab world. It is no more ancient and traditional than platform shoes, bell bottoms, and cheesecloth shirts.”

And “celebrating” Hijab Day is a political statement.’

3. “If you meet the Buddha on the road, kill him.”– Koan attributed to Zen Master Linji.

This phrase has two interpretations: a) if you meet someone professing to be the Buddha, he must be an imposter, because the Buddha is within oneself, and b) whatever your external conception of the Buddha is, it is wrong. Kill it — that is, let it go.

The above article is from the Associated Press. It is quite revealing to contrast this mainstream media article with the two preceding articles. Geller expounds on mainstream media bias in her book — bias specifically contrived to stifle public opposition to Islam and to the Ground Zero mosque.

5. “Sharia Law — Islam 101,” Jihad Watch

http://www.jihadwatch.org/islam-101

“…Islam includes a mandatory and highly specific legal and political plan for society called Sharia… Sharia is the legal code ordained by Allah for all mankind. To violate Sharia or not to accept its authority is to commit rebellion against Allah, which Allah’s faithful are required to combat.

…whatever the outward structure of the government, Sharia is the prescribed content. It is this fact that puts Sharia into conflict with forms of government based on anything other than the Quran and the Sunnah.

… there are few aspects of life that Sharia does not specifically govern. Everything from washing one’s hands to child-rearing to taxation to military policy falls under its dictates… But upon examination of the Islamic sources… it is apparent that any meaningful application of Sharia is going to look very different from anything resembling a free or open society in the Western sense. The stoning of adulterers, execution of apostates and blasphemers, repression of other religions, and a mandatory hostility toward non-Islamic nations punctuated by regular warfare will be the norm. It seems fair then to classify Islam and its Sharia code as a form of totalitarianism.”
